Royal castle of Amboise
The chateau of Amboise belonged for more than four centuries to the d'Amboise family, before being attached to the crown in 1434. During the Renaissance, it was the residence of some of the kings of France.
Partially destroyed after the Revolution, only the royal residence remains, terraces and towers bridleways and the St. Hubert chapel where the remains of Leonardo da Vinci are allegedly buried .
